In preparation for our three upcoming trunk/marketplaces this summer, we thought that “Nellie” the wonderful wicker elephant “bar” would be just the perfect showpiece for our Nest booth! Originally from Maine she found her way to Northwest ct, and now graces the inside of our store!! Her personality speaks for itself . Come visit her and us at Fitchs Market. July 20-22nd or of course at Nest!

Fabulous Rattan Chairs Before and After

Lisa found these fabulous vintage rattan chairs and transformed them to become Nest worthy. On a beautiful March day she sanded, scraped, and painted them a glorious coral color. Then she recovered the cushions in a brown and white Quadrille fabric. Come visit us at Nest and see them for yourself. You won’t be able to resist!!!

Saturday morning birdwatching!!!

Nest loves birds…… so at a local estate sale this morning, I was lucky enough to snatch up these fabulous bird prints, along with an old copy of Field Guide to Birds Nests. The prints will find their way to the walls of Nest  (re-opening March 30th, after some remodeling and re-feathering!), but the nest book is mine to keep:)  My cute husband who spends half of his time in trees and the woods, is always binging me these adorable nests, but we never know what bird has made them.  Now i will have a reference, and it will be fun to identify the little homebuilder.
